A line, cable midi skirt
My latest completed project: an A line midi skirt with cables down the front, made from an unraveled vest I was no longer wearing.
My audacious leg wear was created by layering opaque solid red tights under pattern black nylons. I am enjoying the last few warmish days of late fall where I can be creative with my leg wear and elegant in my footwear.
The inspiration for the skirt was one from ravelry.com:
As a matter of fact, I pretty much recreated the design, except longer. I worked the back plain, with darts shaping. The yarn I used (possibly a cotton mix) does not have a great deal of elasticity so I had to pay special attention to the shaping. On the other hand, it drapes well so it makes a good skirt.
