Superquick kitty toy
This is not really a knitting pattern, but it does use yarn. If you have a cat, you probably have a collection of these
If you are lucky, your kitten might play with them sometimes. Our Tontongi certainly does. But here is what really gets him going:
What is this thing? It's ugly enough that if I come across it on the floor in evening twilight it gives me a start. To Tontongi, it's the perfect mix of something he can bat across the floor, hold in his mouth, something that looks like a big bug or a small mouse. He will play with it for hours.
All it is is a small ball of waste yarn. Once in a while, I tighten it up with a crochet hook by pulling the ends in. The fun of the toy increases with time, as it gets more and more entangled and disheveled.
