Crochet cell phone case
Sadly, I have to lay my faithful Samsung Galaxy note 2 to rest, as over the summer, of course while traveling, the WiFi card failed. The OS itself was retired a few years ago, and while I was enjoying living with the peace of mind of not having an update breaking the way a favorite app operated, it was also getting difficult to find compatible apps.
And so I went shopping for a new phone. The new phone, an LG V20, is on its way. It will come without a case, and the case I had for my Samsung phone will not fit. While the LG V20 is notoriously sturdy (part of the reason for my choice of phone), I still wanted to have a case for it. This was the perfect opportunity for finally trying my hand at a phone case. I had been looking at ideas.
I loosely followed this pattern. The small crochetted doily is sewn securely to the back of the pouch and closes the opening by folding over. In my bead box, I found a piece of what used to be a brooch or an earring and I used it as a fastener. Phone cases make such quick, creative, little projects!
