While fabric shopping at Goodwill for my
faux wrap pants project, I had picked up a polka dot skirt, several sizes too big. I liked the style of the skirt and thought I would just resize it to fit. I only changed the width, not the length, which I liked. I finished the skirt a few weeks ago, and wore it for the first time today, for a grocery store run.

I also happen to own a matching polka dot hair scarf, which I wrapped around my mask, because I am not above matching my mask to my polka dot skirt
The skirt is made out of silk and it was good practice for working with light, stretchy fabric. I did OK. It has a lining then two layers on top of that. So three layers to reduce. There is a zipper on one side. I left the side with the zipper completely alone and instead removed a band of fabric from the opposite side seam, then reconstructed the seam. I am quite satisfied with the finished product.
