Run to your needles - Fun pattern!

I just finished a skirt (I yet have to take pictures so it will be for a later post) and started on a new project: a wrap. Normally, I would wait until I am done before sharing, but the stole starts with such a fun pattern that I have to share. I am using this pattern, from knitty.com.

The ends of the stole are made using a method I had never encountered before. A number of rows of ribbing are worked and then one stitch in every other rib gets dropped off the needles and the ladder unraveled down to the edge by tugging on the dropped stitches. The work instantly lengthens and gains drape. It's fun and magical!

The pattern can be augmented with beads. I am experimenting with using fewer, but larger assorted beads than the original pattern. I am still working on the beads part, but this is what the work looks like so far. I am using a drapey yarn to begin with (rayon) on larger needles for maximum drape and maximum holeyness!
