Romantic Raglan sweater

A few weeks ago, I went to my favorite fabric store to go get some more white cotton for my table cloth project (which is coming along nicely) and of course, walked out with extra yarn. A treasure of heavenly soft acrylic coming out of the clearance bins. I found enough matching balls to make a whole sweater.

I used a pattern out of the library I keep on my hard drive, but I do believe it originally came from elann.com (I can't find it online anymore). The picture from the original pattern is below. Originally, this is supposed to be a spring sweater worked in cotton.

The picture from the original pattern. I can only find this picture on people's pinterest anymore so I can't credit it, but if someone has the link to the original, please let me know in the comments below.
I followed a lot of the pattern, but of course, not 100%. I decided to work the back in plain stockinette, saving the lace for the sleeves and the front only. As much as I love lace knitting, I thought a plain back would actually add interest to the sweater (I preserved the lace border all around). I also added shaping in the back so that the sweater follows the curve of my lower back, for a slimming effect on my body type.
The back of the sweater. I used decreases to make darts.
